Erik Gronvold serves as Director of Investment Advisory at USI Advisors, Inc. The Investment Advisory practice provides strategic investment consulting services to qualified retirement plans. In his capacity as Director, Erik oversees the USIA investment consultant team, assisting the Chief Investment Officer ensure that investment consulting services and recommendations provided by USIA consultants are consistent, timely, and high quality. Erik is committed to driving continuous improvements in the consulting team’s development and execution of USI’s investment consulting services. In addition to his team management role, Erik provides investment consulting services to select USI clients.

Erik has been advising clients on all aspects of investment management for 15+ years. Accordingly, he has served key roles in the design and execution of investment consulting services for both qualified plans (defined benefit and defined contribution) and non-qualified plans (participant-directed and corporate-directed), such as investment policy formulation, invest menu construction, asset allocation, asset‐liability management, manager selection, and manager monitoring. Erik began his investment career in 1996. Prior to joining USI Consulting Group, Erik provided innovative investment consulting solutions to a broad range of plan sponsor clients at Alliance Capital, Aon, and Newport Group.

Erik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Vermont. Erik’s industry education and designations include FINRA administered Series 65, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation from the CFA Institute. Erik is a member of the CFA Institute and the Hartford Society of Financial Analysts.
